Wahlstrom Ford is one of the oldest family owned businesses in Chadron, Nebraska. On September 1, 1961, Lee Wahlstrom purchased the Ford- Mercury franchise from Roy Chicoine. Wahlstrom Ford’s original location was downtown Chadron in what is now the Nebraskaland Tire building. Wahlstrom Ford has always been a 1-stop automotive shop offering sales, parts, service, rental vehicles, and body shop collision repair. In 1979, Lee broke ground on Wahlstrom Ford’s current location. By December 1979, the new building was finally complete and the Ford dealership moved to East Highway 20 on the edge of town. In 1988, Rob retired from teaching and joined his father at the dealership. For over 58 years, the Wahlstrom family has been dedicated to providing excellent customer service to Chadron and the surrounding communities.
